Dear Friend,

It is the first No Methanol Monday of the year! What better way to start off 2021 than stopping the world’s largest fracked gas-to-methanol refinery? The Wash. Dept. of Ecology will make a decision on the shorelines permit by January 20, 2021. Let’s make sure that Gov. Inslee and Washington state regulators do the right thing.

Join us today on No Methanol Monday and send a message to Governor Inslee and key Washington agencies to envision a better future than this climate-wrecking project.

  • Step 1: Send an email to Washington leaders to reject permits for this project. This one is easy. Click here.
  • Step 2. Make a phone call to Gov. Inslee’s office at 360-902-4111. Press 2 to leave a message. Leave a message telling him that you are counting on his administration to deny the Kalama methanol refinery, a project that would use more fracked gas than all of Washington’s power plants, combined.
  • Step 3: Share this email with your friends and neighbors.
  • Step 4: Already done all three of the above? Consider making a donation to support Columbia Riverkeeper's legal and community advocacy to keep fossil fuel infrastructure out of the Pacific Northwest for good.

Thank you for taking a stand to protect our river, our communities, and our environment.

Thank you for all you do to protect what you love!

Best,

Kate Murphy, Community Organizer
