The Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA) ruled that the City of Portland has the authority to deny Zenith’s oil-by-rail facility. This decision sends a clear message that cities and counties are not powerless in the face of expanding fossil fuel projects.

  • Tell your legislators to support HB 4077: Unite Oregon and Oregon Just Transition Alliance are partnering to ensure that Oregon commits to environmental justice action for every part of the state. HB 4077 develops an environmental justice mapping tool to track socioeconomic influences on environmental health across the state and establishes the Environmental Justice Council.

  • Fracked Gas Pipeline: Comment Period now - February 22, 2022. TC Energy is in the process of significantly increasing the volume of fracked gas it sends down the Gas Transmission Northwest (GTN) pipeline. Tell the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) the Pacific Northwest doesn’t need more fracked gas.
