Team Up to Clean Up at Hanford Journey 2022

Columbia Riverkeeper and Yakama Nation’s Environmental Restoration Waste Management are teaming up to celebrate Hanford’s restoration progress and future. Tune in on our Facebook and Instagram channels to watch the livestream throughout the day on June 24, 2022.

A Step Closer to Un-Damming the Snake

A draft report published by Senator Murray and Governor Inslee shows that removing the lower four dams from the Snake River is not only possible, but is urgently needed. Snake River Dam removal is Washington’s opportunity to invest in an immediate solution to salmon recovery.

Flotilla on the Columbia

Join us at the 2022 Rally for Salmon, an event combining land and water festivities to raise awareness and show support for Snake River dam removal. We’ll see you on June 25th, by kayak or foot!

We're on KBOO

Tune in to KBOO radio for an interview with Columbia Riverkeeper community organizer Kate Murphy about Gov. Inslee and Sen. Murray’s lower Snake River dam removal report and a discussion with incoming executive director Lauren Goldberg.

Partner Spotlight:
Zen Community Advocates for Clean Water and Air

At Port Westward, the Great Vow Zen Monastery sits right above the site of a massive new refinery and rail yard proposed near farms and wetlands by Houston-based NEXT Energy. In the past few months, the Zen Community of Oregon organized to deliver powerful, in-depth testimony addressing the harms the refinery would cause.
