Among the key takeaways: Zenith and fossil fuel industry players should not be trusted; be wary of greenwashing "renewable fuels"; the City of Portland's deal with Zenith was a politically motivated attempt to avoid holding Zenith accountable and take credit for encouraging "renewable" fuels. | Partner Spotlight: Cowlitz Indian Tribe Columbia Riverkeeper is honored to work in solidarity with the Cowlitz Indian Tribe to restore strong salmon runs on the Lewis River. Because of sustained leadership from the Cowlitz Indian Tribe and others, earlier this month PacifiCorp agreed to a new schedule to implement full fish passage into the Lewis River. Columbia Riverkeeper will continue our work to hold PacifiCorps accountable for its promises to Tribes and the public. |

Four dams must be breached without delay in order to prevent salmon extinction. Tribes are exercising their treaty rights for all who swim, fish and hunt along the Snake River. We must stand together. The health of the river is our collective responsibility.

- Live Music Benefiting Columbia Riverkeeper: November 17, 2023, at Alberta Rose Theatre, Portland, Oregon. Many talented local musicians will perform music by the late Gordon Lightfoot to celebrate his 85th birthday. In the spirit of Gordon’s life, net proceeds will be donated to Columbia Riverkeeper.
